Windows System Administrator - Thames Valley - £25-35K + bonus + benefits
Windows System Administrator with several years of experience in Systems Administration is required for my client. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering, developing, maintaining and providing internal support for my client`s Windows based systems, including Lotus Notes, Citrix and SQL servers.
The following experience is required: Excellent knowledge of Windows NT*2000; Excellent knowledge of at least one of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, Citrix, and Lotus Notes; Several years` experience maintaining a multi-server Windows network; Knowledge of Windows networking and protocols; Experience of scripting for Windows (using vbscript, Perl, etc.); An understanding of Windows security issues; An understanding of the need for change control on production systems; Experience of writing documentation and procedures. The following experience is desirable: Familiarity with some or all of the following: Microsoft SQL Server, Citrix, and Lotus Notes; Knowledge of firewalls, switches and networking; Knowledge of Linux or Unix.
